I play 5e Legacy and have tested with a clean campaing with no extension and only the monster manual loaded.

After a summer break we started playing again in late august. Since then every week we have noticed that the modifiers ±2, ±-5 or a entered number in the modifier field does not get summed in to the dice total. The ADV and DIS does work.
The shoosen modifier does show up in the text in chat window.65634

Thsi appears to be working for me - see the below screenshot. The first two attacks are a PC, with the first without a modifier (using the PC's attack modifier of +4) and the second attack with a -2 modifier (applied from the desktop button). The 3rd and 4th attack are for an NPC. Both show that the -2 modifier is correctly applied.

Could you recreate the issue and then compile then FG logs and attach them here - info on how to do that in my signature.

Ahh, me and my players might remember it wrong. We where loocking for a presentation of the calculation like d20+5-2 but it seem to add the two last numbers together before showing them d20+3.
So there are acually no problem.

Thanks for your help.

EDIT: It works when I DM/GM do the diceroll but not when the player roll.

I have now made more tests in the test campaign with no extensions.
I have attatched one images from the test campaign. The first 2 diceroll is made by a player and he does not get the modifier included in the result. The last 2 diceroll is made by the GM/DM and there the modifier work. (The middle roll where a natural 1 so I skipped that one)
There are also a logfile attached.

I just tried and it appears to be working on the player side. Just tried each of the buttons as well as a -10 manual modifier specifically on the player side. (See attached.)

Your logs contain multiple sessions; and some have multiple extensions loaded and others none. When compiling the logs; it's best to close FG completely to reset the logs before running tests and providing logs.

It's odd, because I would expect more than one person to report if this was broken in general. That's why we're trying to rule out extensions, and make sure campaign is clear.

If still an issue, can you zip up campaign folder with the PC having the issue, and provide?

I have cleared the log file and run the same test again.
I see that the log file list a lot of modules, but I have only the Monster Manual loaded. Could it be that my player has settings that ask for all the modules that we usually use in the real campains?

Two first roll are by the player.
The two last one at by me, GM.

Maybe I found the issue. It with a roll from the hot key bar. ( I can't reproduce it otherwise, see below)

Add the Greatsword attack roll button to the hot bar.
Add a +2 mod to the modifier box.
Click the hot key box to roll.

Below here is what I did initially:

With most rolls I am not able to reproduce with that campaign.
First roll is from the DM on the Dex Save with a +2. The next 3 various rolls are all from a locally connected player.

What are the exact steps the player is doing?

Here are my exact steps for the player rolls.
Dex Save:
- Click +2 mod button (bottom right corner)
- Click Dex save button on Main tab

Greatsword attack:
- Click weapon attack button on action tab of character sheet

Greatsword attack #2:
- Click +2 mod button (bottom right corner)
- Click weapon attack button on action tab of character sheet

This is how we did it.

First I opened the log and cleared it.
Then I started the test campaign

Player logged in got his character the Test-karaktären, opened the character cheet and the action tab.
-Clicked once on the Greatswort attack
-Clicked -2 modifier
-Clicked once on the Greatswort attack

After that I did the following
The character cheet where alread open since last time we where in this test campain.
-Clicked once on the Greatswort attack
-Clicked -2 modifier
-Clicked once on the Greatswort attack

Then I logged out to the launcher and the player where kicked out at the same time.
- Zipped the logfile

Could there be something in the options?
All my players complained about the same thing but I have not manages to get them online today.

I saw that LordEntrails mentioned something about the upper left corner in the modifier box. I played around with that but it gave nothing.

EDIT: I later made a new test in the full campain. If I drag the attack to the hot bar I as GM get the same error.

Rolls from the hot bar are "fixed"; which is why we suggest rolling from sheets except for simple rolls. Also, this is an issue for host/player I'll have to look at separately.

I just tried with the TestCampaign you posted; and I'm not seeing the issue. (see attached image)
Are you sure the player is just pushing the -2 button and not dragging button to hot bar or other intermediate steps?

We just pushed an update that should fix the hot key bar rolls not getting the modifiers. That may solve your player's issue, depending on those intermediate steps they may or may not be making.
You'll need to run a new Check for Updates to get the fix.

I am sure that the player did not use the hot bar. He streamed his steps in Discord for me to see if he did something odd.
I really should have tested to login as a player on the same computer that I use as GM. Would have been interesting to see if the problem showed up then also. Anyway, I did soo now and it worked as it should.
At the moment my players are all sleeping. So I will make one of them go through the testing tomorrow.

Thank You, Jan G (Cozy)
