Does anyone have any experiences with the new M4 chip and running FG? I’ve read that there were problems before but have those got resolved? Thanks for answering in advance.

There were a couple of reports of FG running poorly on it, but that was before native Silicon support was provided in FG 4.8.0 (August 5th, 2025). But neither of the reporters have commented about it since then. You may try reaching out to them directly. The thread with their comments is here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?85195-Apple-Silicon-support-will-be-required-in-2-years&p=745601&viewfull=1#post745601

I have the M4 Max with 64 GB RAM and 40 core GPU Macbook Pro. I've had excellent performance with Fantasy Grounds and what's also great is the battery life. Fantasy Grounds uses battery slowly and I could be in a session for several hours without worrying about having to plug in. I'm very happy with how it works on Mac!

Even before the switch to apple native silicon, I found the performance of Fantasy Grounds to be shockingly good. It's even better now. I frequently leave my games just sitting open in the background, and the mac barely heats up.
