I am trying to code the following effect:

-Frequency: [Once per Round]
-Effect: A living creature hit by the slime's pseudopod must make a [DC 15 Fort save] or take [Persistent Acid Damage] (2 on a [Critical Hit]). This damage applies only to organic matter and ignores hardness or resistances of non-metal items.

Automation:
"DC 15 Fort save"|Save: Fortitude[DC:15][CD]
"Persistent Acid Damage"|PERSISTENT: 1 acid[FAILURE]
"Critical Hit"|PERSISTENT: 2 acid[CRITFAILURE]
"Once per Round"|Cooldown: 1

Issue:
The persistent damage is not applying, however the saves is working as well as the cooldown. I've also tried PERS: instead of the full work.

Any assistance would be appreciated. If you know a monster in the monster core that does something similar, please point me to it as well! :)

Thanks in advance,

ChipDancer

Referring to the Effects Wiki page, the effect for persistent damage is PERS, so use PERS: 2 acid for example.

Plus, you need to specify Effect automation - as detailed in the Wiki here: https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/2042789889/PFRPG2+-+NPC+Ability+Automation#Effect

So, the automation is:

"DC 15 Fort save"|Save: Fortitude[DC:15][CD]
"Persistent Acid Damage"|Effect: PERS: 1 acid[FAILURE]
"Critical Hit"|Effect: PERS: 2 acid[CRITFAILURE]
"Once per Round"|Cooldown: 1

Trenloe,

Sir, the effect not the damage is applying to the target. I can trigger the save and on a fail it will not apply and clicking on the pers effect won't apply. A little confused here. I have another effect that applies various effects based on save, except that too won't apply the pers damage. Not sure what I'm doing wrong...

As mentioned in the effects Wiki page, persistent damage is applied at the end of a target's turn, not at the time the effect is applied. With the PERS effect on the target, advance the combat tracker through the target's turn and verify the persistence damage (plus DC 15 flat check to remove) is triggered at the end of the target's turn.

Apologies! :)

You were correct the first time, I didn't see the 'Effect' statement you added! :)

Thank a bunch Trenloe! You guys are awesome all time! :)
