Ran across this for doing bulk conversions of images to webp, that doesn't mess with the image itself unless you specify.

Does GIMP with the BIMP plug-in alter the images? I've never noticed anything, but haven't looked that close.

Cool find. I've been using Shutter Encoder, also FOSS for the mass conversions. https://www.shutterencoder.com/

Can do both image->webp and video->webm conversions.
