Question: I already own physical copies of the Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, and DMG. I also have the Essentials Kit in both physical and digital module form. What I’m wondering is this: is it worth picking up the Fantasy Grounds Modules of the Player’s Handbook, Monster Manual, or DMG? I mean, would just one of them be enough or do I need all three to improve my overall experience? Or am I good with what I’ve already got: the digital Essentials?

Would love to hear what’s worked (or not worked) for you. Any advice or insight is welcome.

Note: My physical copy’s are 2024.

Thanks!

So the FG version of the PHB will save you and your players lots of typing, but you don't need it.
The MM will give you creatures to add to encounters easily, but you can enter it all yourself. If you run FG adventures, then they include the monsters needed so the value for the MM is much less.
The DMG might be the least valuable, depending on how you DM. Again, you can enter magic items and tables etc yourself, but if you own the DMG they are there for you.

You don't "need" any of them, but they will save you lots of manual entry.
