I try to weaponize the Imp's Sting.
Created a new weapon and copied the text from the imp's Sting description.
So what am I not understanding here?
Text that I use in the weapon Sting. (also seen in the images)
Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 5 (1d4 + 3) piercing damage, and the target must make on a DC 11 Constitution saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) poison damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.

Which ruleset is this for? When posting in a general forum please remember to indicate the ruleset you're using.
EDIT: Moved to D&D 5E forum.

The text in the weapon description won't be parsed by anything when a weapon is equipped by a player character; it will only look at the damage and damage type. To enable the saving throw and consequences you'll need to create the effects in the character who is wielding the weapon's action tab.

No, in the action tab like in the image below.
See these videos on how to create effects in the actions tab. https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?74212-Updating-5e-effects-videos&p=654177#post654177
