View Full Version : Missing tracking buttons on character sheet

Ahoy,

Three weeks ago several of the tracking buttons on my character sheet simply vanished. I have checked for updates, my DM removed all themes and extensions, and I even tried a full reinstall of the program. None of this worked.

Attached is the error log that compiles when I load my character sheet.

Please advise.

Is this only on your character sheet or does it happen to all players? Does it happen if you create a new character?

What are "tracking buttons"? Can you provide a screen shot of where you expect them and describe what they looked like? If these are uses in the power groups or similar, you need to unlock the character sheet and then enter a value other than zero, then when you lock the sheet it will show uses, which might be your tracking buttons.

Can you upload the charactersheet here?

One other player is also missing buttons, but nobody else is.

My DM can see the buttons, his view looks like this. 65218
My view looks like this 65219

My DM also had another player view my sheet, they could see the buttons just fine.

These missing buttons are making it hard to track how many sorcery points I've used, if I have tides of chaos active, and a few other things.

Make sure that you are testing without extensions first of all.

If that isn’t the problem then try deleting your cache for that campaign before you next join it.

Is the first log (...823) your and the second (...816) your DMs? 816 shows 33 extensions in use. Including 2 versions of the same extension (CT Scroll).

Both logs show the error:
[8/23/2025 4:55:38 PM] [ERROR] Script execution error: [string "5E:..ripts/buttongroup_counter_power_5E.lua"]:135: attempt to index global 'stateicons' (a nil value)
So I would guess it might be 5E Prepared, but their are more than a handful that I don't know what they do.

So, as My Z says, test first with all extensions disabled. Then enable half of them and try again, then go half by half until you ID the extension and then turn it off (plus the duplicate one).

So as previously stated, we disabled all extensions and that isn't it.
Could you clarify what you mean by "Creating your cache"?

Have the player open their FG Data directory, via the folder icon on the FG launch screen (w/ only the launch screen open, not FG itself). Then delete the cache folder, or at least go into the cache folder and delete the entire folder that is the campaign name (galaxybomb). Then rejoin your game. This will cause them to redownload everything from the GM.

This fixed it! Thank you so much!

My DM and my whole party are literally singing your praises right now.
