Hey Guys!

Wondering if anyone figured this out yet. I feel like it is probably doing something wrong, but per long description below I tried many different things and can't get it to work.

Problem: Armor piercing not working.

Short Description: If I roll from damage from the ammo itself it does not apply damage to the enemy. If I roll damage from the weapon, it is not armor piercing.

Long Description:

1. I clicked and dragged armor piercing ammo (from updated 2023 Central supply catalogue) to an automatic rifle (also from 2023 central supply).
a. I heard different sources could be the problem so I made sure both the ammo and the weapon came from the same book.
2. Armor piercing ammo appears below the weapon as I understand it should.
a. I get the button that allows for collapsing the ammo options, so it is confirmed they are linked.
3. Damage is 0 for the ammo.
a. I change to 3D6 as appropriate for the weapon.
4. Enemy is targeted in combat tracker.
a. Enemy has armor of 5
5. A hit is made
a. Combat log shows that the enemy was hit (calls them out specifically, i.e. Mercenary 1)
6. I roll for damage on the ammo, and it does not apply the damage to the enemy. No damage whatsoever.
a. I do not get a message saying it is blocked by armor or anything. Log records damage but not to whom.
1) I find this odd because the hit is recorded against the enemy in the combat log but not the damage which is assigned to what appears to be no one.
7. I test just rolling for damage as the assault rifle instead of the ammo.
a. Damage is recorded. Damage has 5 subtracted from it (from enemy armor).

I went through your process and didn't experience the issues you reported. Did you click outside of the damage field before you rolled? The damage doesn't update till it loses focus.

Thanks for answering so quick!

The issue isn't damage in general or AP inherent to the weapon. It's when special ammunition types are used.

I did a loom video if that helps.

One more additional point of clarification not shown in the video. If I do damage straight from the weapon itself (instead of the ammunition) it applies damage just fine. It is obviously missing the armor piercing effect from the special ammunition in that case however.
