This thread is for reporting any issues with the Starfinder Second Edition books/DLC.
If you notice a problem, please log it here with as much detail as possible. Be sure to include:
Product name(s): Which book(s) or DLC are affected.
Issue: What the problem is.
Section/Object: Where the issue occurs (e.g., map name, feat name, story title, etc.).
Suggested fix (if known): How the issue might be resolved.
Screenshots: Attach if they help clarify the problem.
The more detail you can provide, the quicker we can track and resolve it.

Ok, I may be going crazy, so please feel free to laugh and point, but I'm setting up to do a Starfinder 2e and currently I have the PDF, the book is coming tomorrow and I just dropped cash on the Starfinder 2e Player core for Fantasy grounds. I've been importing the Dwarf Ancestry into the game as I have a friend who really wants to try crossing the streams between Pathfinder 2e and Starfinder 2e so I've been filling in a blank Ancestry sheet and noticed a couple of odd things si:
Product name: Starfinder 2e Player Core.
Issue: Attribute Boosts are called Ability boosts (which had me hunting the PDF for a while) and all of the boosts are +2 when it states clearly on page 23 that it is +1 per boost. Compounded by the walkthrough on page 26 when Jessica makes her character.
Fix: I'm guessing this was placed is as developed and may have changed to be consistent with Pathfinder 2e, so change the title Ability boosts to Attribute boosts and lower the +2 on each ancestry to +1
I'd attach screenshots, but I doubt Paizo would be too happy with me sending parts of their PDF for public viewing.
Hope that helps.

We'll review the exact wording of these abilities.
In the meantime you can access the Dwarf ancestry from the Pathfinder 2e Player Core module - either the ORC licensed version or the full conversion, both of which can be activated in a Starfinder 2e campaign:

Product name(s): Starfinder Player Core
Issue: Disciple background does not have Attribute boosts set.
Section/Object: On character creation, when assigning the background.
Suggested fix (if known): It may be a little tricky to fully automate since they are "One must be an attribute specified in your deity's Divine Attribute entry, and one is a free attribute boost." ... maybe this will work: "Strength, Dexterity, Constitution, Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma"

Product name(s): Starfinder Player Core
Issue: Character Tracker says "No Core Rules Module Activated", but Starfinder Player Core module is indeed activated.
Section/Object: On character creation, when creating a new character.
EDIT: Never mind. I was using a custom PFRPG2 rule set, and did not realize that the SFRPG2 ruleset relies on the latest version of the PFRPG2 rule set. This error does not occur when I delete my custom PFRPG2 rule set and use the up-to-date official one.

Issue: "Favorites" Activity Category is not always at the top of the list.
Section/Object: Character sheet, Activities tab
Suggested fix (if known): See screenshot; either have "00" priority go above blank categories priorities, program Favorites to always be on top, or program the Ancestry Ability and Class Abilities activity categories to be something other than blank (and 00).

Ok, just downloaded the orc Dwarf, they are ability boosts and also +2 rather than +1 too.

This is how the ruleset was originally coded and a valid syntax. Give it a go and let us know if there are any issue with it not applying the boosts/flaws correctly.

Those activities should be in the Ancestry Activities (order = 01) and Class Activities (order = 02) categories. I'll work with the DLC dev to correct this. For categories already created, manually set the order as needed.
Thanks for letting us know about the issue.

Product Name: Starfinder Player Core
Issue: Several issues with the Skittermander heritages.
Section/Object: Select Heritage for "
Suggested Fix: There are 2 gadraveech skittermander choices, one of which is the correct one for darkvision, the 2nd one has the scrabbler skittermander bonuses. Scrabbler Skittermander has the bonuses for skitter-raised, instead of what it is supposed to have.
Edit: Actually upon adding the 2nd gadraveech skittermander, even if you pick the one that does have darkvision, it will still give you the scrabbler bonuses instead.

Product Name: Starfinder Galaxy Guide
Issue: Several issues with the Dragonkin Heritages
Section/Object: Select Heritage for "Dragonkin"
Suggested Fix: There are missing heritages for dragonkin as clickable options, including the flameheart, heartbroken, and mercurial choices, they cannot be added to characters.
Edit: Dragon-kin apparently also has its initial special movement listed as 20 foot swim speed, at least when my player picked Stormrider heritage which is an easy text error to correct, but just wanted to share that as well.

I believe there is a formatting issue with the Vlaka (also in Galaxy Guide) that results in its traits having some invalid characters in them, causing them to be unable to select ancestry feats.
Instead of "Humanoid, Vlaka" the traits are added as "<b>Humanoid, Vlaka</b>".

Cosmic Birthday
Two issues here.
Firstly, on the maps, there are no walls on the "sides" of doors. This means that while the door is open, PCs can see into the "walls" of the map.
Secondly, the Electrovore creature is missing automation for the damage of its area of effect attack; it has automation for the glitching status effect, but no damage.

Product Name: Starfinder Player Core
Issue: For the operative class under the attack proficiencies section of the combat tab it correctly assigns the proficiency ranking for simple, martial, and advanced guns however no items have a subcategory or grouping of those so the correct proficiency is never applied to the character's weapon with the laser rifle being an example of this but is also true for any ranged firearm.
Section/Object: Attack proficiencies populated in the combat section of the character sheet
Suggested Fix: Making new groups with to identify these items with simple, martial, or advanced guns and adjusting the class adding groups instead of names for the appropriate proficiency bonus to the appropriate items.

Thanks for reporting the issue. I thought we'd addressed this previously, but I can't find the posts on it.
We can't use a "group" as that has very specific functionality within the SF2 rules and a weapon can't be in more than one group. The definition of a "gun" is as follows: "Gun: Any ranged weapon with the analog or tech trait." - SF2 Player Core page 132. The issue with using only this definition is that thrown weapons will also be classed as a gun: e.g. a shuriken drone is a ranged weapon with the thrown and tech trait - so, using the "gun" definition, it's also a gun.
We'll investigate the best way to use this in respect to proficiencies and other applications of "guns".

Product Name: Starfinder Player Core
Issue: For the operative class activity of Aim there are two effects one to apply the Mark to your marked target and the other being an effect granting you the bonus precision damage when damaging your mark, this effect is not adjusted as part of leveling up at the appropriate level intervals for example at level 5 this should be adding an additional die of damage to the effect but it isn't. Also when selecting the Devastating Aim operative feat it does not adjust the size of the dice in the effect from a d4 to a d6 against your mark.
Section/Object: Aim Activity under the Activities section
Suggested Fix: Effect is updated upon selection of the Devastating Aim feat and the number of dice in the effect is adjusted at the appropriate level mark. This is last part is purely a wish list thing but could the IFT effect be moved to the Character Effects under the Combat section so it is always on similar to how a Rogue in PF2e's is for their sneak attack? Often times my players will forget to put the IFT effect on themselves if it is removed for whatever reason but will remember to place the Mark effect on their target

Cosmic Birthday part two is missing any kind of page references or cross links that are in the original text. So for example, the section on talking to Arta does not contain any link or reference to the section for her quest (in the original text it's a page number), making it hard to realize the two sections are connected - especially a problem with the sandbox, freeform nature of part two.

Most of the monsters in this adventure, despite having artwork available (and having said artwork for their pictures) use generic battle tokens instead of the actual artwork, which strikes me as an odd choice.
Also, most of them have their unidentified name as simply "unidentified" instead of a descriptive text ("undead humanoid" or the like).

I don't entirely mean to call anyone out, and having done it myself I know that converting a module is a lot of work, but having just finished Cosmic Birthday I want to say the conversion feels a bit rough.
There's a lot of missing automation (half of the final boss' abilities are automated the other half aren't, and one is automated as a Reflex save but is a Fort save in the text), a lot of places where information isn't readily available (the description for the final room includes a page number reference to find the effect for the overheating reactor, but I could not figure out where to find the actual text which led to me having to skip that part of the encounter since I didn't have the PDF on hand), a lot of places where you have to look up information instead of having it in front of you (rooms that link to other maps don't have links to the map).
I know I'm being very critical, and I don't mean to come across as super negative - as I said, I know how much work a module conversion is. I just wanted to express that Cosmic Birthday didn't feel as polished as I generally expect when I pick up a Fantasy Grounds module.
