Hello!

I purchased the playtest for my DM, I was wondering if we still have to pay the full price or does the playtest key become the full release key?

What’s the point of the playtest version if it never was meant to become the full release version eventually after purchase?

Please help!

Did you actually qualify for full version?
I bought the SF2E playtest via Steam. But when I create a Starfinder (2E) campaign, it still only has the SF2E Playtest Rulebook and the SF2E Playtest Rulebook ORC as loadable modules. When I access the Steam store page for SF2 RPG - Player Core, it's listed at full price. I can't even find the SF2E GM Core book on the Steam store?

Unless Paizo have a way to give you the full rules PDF due to taking part in the playtest, and then use that for the PDF discount on the FG version, I'm not aware of anything to reduce the cost of the full release.

We've dropped the price of recent rulebook releases from the print RRP to $49.99 (US price) to make it a bit more reasonable for purchase of rulebooks, but there's no specific discount to move from the playtest to the full release on Fantasy Grounds.

Thanks for getting back to me Trenloe. I didn't realize that the GM Core isn't out till Wednesday. I checked and Paizo didn't upgrade me from the play test to the full Player Core PDF. I appreciate Smiteworks for dropping the price, but unfortunately the DLC is still very pricey in my countries currency. It being pricey is situational for me though, as I'm currently off work from an injury without compensation pay. I'm just going to wait for a FG or Steam sale and if it gets discounted I'll likely buy.

Besides, I already own 4 other FG SciFi rulesets, so it's not like I don't have something to scratch my itch.
