Hi Moon Wizard
The latest hotfix (I updated this evening, 13th August 10pm or so UK time) has reintroduced the storybook errors - well, similar but not exactly the same.
65144
When I click on the light blue subchapters, the result is different depending on whether I have edited or added anything within that subchapter. If it is completely as it was in the original LMoP, it opens and displays the pages in the right hand panel as it should (that's what you can see with the selected 'Introduction' in chapter 3).
If I click on a subchapter where I have edited anything, it opens a story entry from that subchapter (but I don't think it is necessarily the first one - maybe the first new node created in the XML? That's a guess). That's what you can see has happened when I click on the light blue 'Conyberry' subchapter. This was a section I had expanded on from the original adventure.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

I loaded up a version in the Test channel that I think addresses this issue; but I had to change a lot around. Thus, why it is in the Test channel.
Any help in verifying that it addresses your issue, and doesn't cause any other issues is appreciated.

Hey, Moon Wizard.
I had a quick look there (it is after midnight here). It certainly gives me my storybook back, and there's nothing obviously wrong elsewhere. What sort of things might go wrong? I can look more carefully after work and before gametime tomorrow, and then obviously test it properly during the game tomorrow evening (UK time).
If my group and I want to go ahead and use this version, I have 2 questions:
1. Do all group members have to switch to TEST
2. How do we copy progress back to LIVE when everything settles down - just copy over the campaign folder?
Thanks

Only GM would need to be in Test channel; since everything else is the same between Live and Test right now.
Thanks for checking it out.

Hi Moon
We played for a couple of hours tonight (by god we were slow; it is amazing how quickly you get rusty when you don't play for a few months!)
The book performed as I wanted it to, other than those disconcerting pauses as it compiles a chapter into a single page.
One thing we noticed tonight was the number of 1's rolled on the d20. There were 1's rolled on other dice too but not noticeably different to what we expect. At one point the rogue rolled 2 1's in a row, then I followed with two beastie attacks as natural 1's. I understand probability, but this is a hugely unlikely run of results ( 1 in 160 000?) There were further 1's on the d20 all night too. Don't get me wrong - there were a couple of 20's and some decent rolls, just a disproportionate number of 1's. I know some dice code was touched on this update so I thought I'd mention it.
I mentioned this on another thread, but seeing as this branch is on test anyway I thought I might bring it up... :) When you click on a subchapter, all other subchapters close. This results in 2 behaviours that I, personally, don't like.
The closing chapters change the vertical spacing of chapters, pages, etc, and so they 'jump' around. Clicking on a subchapter 8 lines down the book might have it start 2 lines down as the previous subchapter closes. This is visually jarring.
It is far easier to go from page to page in a book if the subchapters stay open. When closed, you are required to remember which subchapter has the page you want, click it, find the page, scroll down. When open, click on page & scroll.
Would it be possible to revert to the behaviour of leaving the chapters open, so that is is possible to have 2, 3, ...., all the chapters open if that's what the user wants? Or a toggle to allow this? One of the great beauties of the storybook is ability to quickly jump between relevant sections. I always found playing from PDFs a grim experience, scrolling and trying to find the right part. The new system feels like a step in that direction :(
Cheers

Dice rolls are random. Sometimes rolls are good and bad. Don't start down that raɓbit hole! ;)

Agreed, I rolled 4 ones in a row recently on a live game. I just sulked the rest of the night. It happens.
