View Full Version : Bugs after latest update related to die rolls

I've noticed a couple of bugs related to the latest update:

1. When the DM rolls a die by dragging it from the dice palette, and the mouse cursor hovers over a dice result in the chat window before releasing the die, it rolls it twice when released.

2. When a dice is rolled from a weapon or ability by being dragged into the chat or onto the table, rather than clicking the button to roll the die, it ignores any modifiers (such as advantage or disadvantage), or any effects that would affect the roll. Any modifiers built into the roll still seem to apply normally, but any that come from an effect are ignored.

You reported in a general space and it's best to help track down bugs if you let us know the ruleset.

Also, we'll need some more specific help so we can recreate.

Some basic things to check:
* Make sure ALL extensions are disabled, and check again.
* If you have unzipped any rulesets to investigate code, remove the unzipped folders and check again.
* Make sure you have run a Check for Updates immediately before testing.
* As @superteddy57 mentioned, we need to know the ruleset (game system framework) you are using.

1. I'm not sure what you are referring to as the "dice palette". I just tried dragging a die from the desktop dice tray and rolling; then dragging a different die onto the chat result in the chat window and it rolled as expected. This was using the 5E ruleset.

2. There was a fix put out about 12 hours ago specifically for desktop dice ignoring the +2/5 buttons specifically. This is now working fine when I checked locally. Again, this was using the 5E ruleset.

Apologies, I was a bit overeager to report.
This was with the 5e ruleset; it appears that update has resolved the issues I mentioned! Neither of these bugs present after updating to the latest version.
