Some examples please. I dont understand

If the number box has "1000" in it, now it's shown as "1,000" (the comma is the thousands separator), and if it has "12350" it's shown as "12,350". Conversely, should the box contain "one million", it would be shown as 1,000,000 instead of 1000000.

Depending on your computer's regional settings, you might see a period instead of a comma, e.g.: 1.000 for one thousand, 1.000.000 for one million, 12.350 for twelve thousands three hundred fifty.
