I have in the last couple of weeks hit an issue whenever FGU is open on my computer. When it is open, whenever I am typing in any application, frequently I will get a long string of repeated characters, as if the key is stuck down, and occasionally keystrokes are missed completely. For example, a sentence might read:

"I turned the corrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrner into thom....."

instead of

"I turned the corner into the room."

This only happens when FGU is open, but happens within FGU, Notepad, Word, Browser windows. It makes any typing (making notes, typing messages etc) extremely time-consuming as I'm constantly having to go back, delete extra characters and re-type the text.

Has anyone else run into this, and if so, how have you managed to resolve it please? My FGU is updated to latest version, my keyboard is pretty much new, and the issue only happens when FGU is open. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

Yes. All the time. Reported and assumed to be my issue since I use an unsupported Linux flavor. I learned to change the way I copy paste and type so I can catch it. I use cntrl-Z a lot.

Also, check to see if you have any other input devices that might be sending inputs (controllers, keypad, touchpad, etc.)

A manual/sight check confirms that nothing else is being activated at the same time, but can you recommend a more technical way of reviewing this please?

I'm using a vanilla Windows 11 pc, and as the issue only happens when FGU is open, I'm not sure how it could be anything other than caused by FGU.

I have no idea; because the the operating system controls the devices and passing inputs to applications. When we've heard similar reports in the past; it's usually because of some device connected to the machine sending additional inputs.

Alternately, have you tried a different keyboard? (Maybe a simpler one)
I'm not an expert, but don't some keyboards have special "trigger" keys/settings to help with FPS gameplay?
