View Full Version : D&D 5E - Create new NPC with no resistances, but it resists all damage

I've created a new monster in my campaign, using the + button in the NPC box. I filled in everything from scratch, and gave it the basic "bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing that is nonmagical" resistance.

Without fail, the NPC resists all damage from all sources.

I removed everything from the resistances field, and it still resists all damage.

Here are examples from the combat tracker:

64872
64873

I can handle damage manually if I must, but it's pretty annoying. Anyone else experience this or know of a fix?

Thanks,
Kevin

FG parses out the NPC text into effects when the NPC is added to the Combat Tracker. Look at what effects have been created in the NPC in the CT. Once in the CT changing the descriptions won't change the effects, they are only parsed and applied when the NPC is first added to the CT.

I can't recreate your issue, are you running any extensions? If so, try testing without any extensions.

This is working correctly for me too, so I suspect an extension as well, or perhaps some issue with this particular NPC. If it isn't an extension maybe rename the NPC or test in another, simpler NPC to see if you can narrow it down.
