Okay, odd question, here it goes.
I had this idea to have a large dungeon my players will enter and exit multiple times, getting a little further each time. As I do not want it to be a tedious, "search all the rooms you've been in already," is there a way to.. map the dungeon as they go? I have walls for LOS around each room, doors, environment blocks, illusory walls, but so far, have been unable to see the drawing from one room over while previewing player vision. Is there a way to do this?

I know it maps as the players go, as long as they do not leave the map, but once the token is dropped on another map, that fow gets reset.

There is an extension on the Forge that remembers FoW for maps. Sorry I don't know what's it's called.

The players can draw on a map, but that's pretty crude still. What would probably work best for you is instead of using LOS, use the Global Mask. You then manually reveal it as the players progress (no automated LOS) and then it is remembered when you come back to the map. See Toggleable Toolbar Functions - Fantasy Grounds Customer Portal - Fantasy Grounds (https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/2415460356/Toggleable+Toolbar+Functions#Sight-/-Drawing-Modes)

It's called FoWEnhanced, but it's been unlisted.

One opttion: if you really don't need the dynamic lighting and LoS, you could consider using the global masking functionality, revealing each area as the PCs explore. This mask is maintained uniquely for each map it's used on and is also clearer to view than the dark grey LoS tracking.

You can also use a secondary image that you can ref and unmask as they open up areas. This likely is the best option as you have it set with no LOS and just unmask it, it can even be a lower res or QL if you wanted. Removing all lighting and LOS will make it show up very well for the players without messing up the current map you are using.

Having said that, it's also not a great idea to run very large map like that. LOS and lighting will lag down FG. You are better off having "encounter" maps.

They can use an empty image with square grids and use the Map Tools to draw what they read about. Something like in the attachment:

Note: Ctrl + Dragging Left Clickdraws a straight line:

A video example of using a blank image as mentioned by Tempered7 above. If you don't want to see the intro stuff, the image first pops up around 1 minute 45 seconds into video.

Note for the "players" to draw, the DM needs to create the blank image. If you want a grid, the DM needs to make the grid visible.

The player needs to right click on the drawing and enter drawing mode or the DM can right click and unlock the drawing layer - that will give the player a pen tool on the shared image. Note the pen is black so I just noticed it's not really visible in the dark theme except where it crosses the grid. That's probably a bug in the theme.

Edit: as noted the player pen color is the player's pointer color. This is black by default but most players should have changed it in a real game.

Players draw with the color they pick as "Active Character" in the options.

Yes, as DrDDT mentions the player color is their pointer color.
