As I get up to speed on the ruleset and the FGU implementation, I'm encountering some issues that aren't clear to me as I learn more about STA2e and the FGU implementation, for example:

1. How do the advanced effects work in 2e? I see I can add them to a character in the combat tracker, but they don't seem to change the number of d20's for the Attack Dice or the Difficulty when that is selected....I can do that manually in the lower left, but are the effects supposed to be automated in 2e and I'm just experiencing user error?

2. How are rolls from the ship accomplished?

I believe I answered this one - you need to place the ship on the party sheet and assign the crew member to a station within their individual character sheet, at which point, rolls populate on their sheet. Am I missing anything here?

3. What does the Injured NL and Injured L toggle signify on the character sheet?

The ATKDICE has a typo that I will get fixed and pushed to TEST as the ruleset is under the current Beta. I would suggest using the modifier box for the time being. I tested the other effects and they are working correctly. You might need to show me the effects you are placing on the actor and some of the rolls.

As for your second question, please elaborate on it as I'm not sure if you mean the NPC ship or PC ship. The NPC ship has controls to make rolls and will get more options in the CT. As for PC ships, the characters will have their actions available on their sheets on the Actions tab at the bottom when they have selected a station. They will of course need to be attached to a party ship in the partysheet.

Thanks Superteddy - I was modifying my question as you were responding and figured out the player ship piece. The effects piece I'm encountering is that if I add the Difficulty effect (which I presume increases the difficulty by that number), it doesn't appear to be accounted for ... the chat log shows that a roll with 2 below the TN still registered as a success.

I'm not seeing that issue with this latest test.

I might need to see the exported character that is rolling that. I'm not seeing anything out the ordinary with your image.

Also remember that some tasks do have a built in difficulty and will start from that difficulty.

I see where I went wrong - thank you for taking the time!

3. What does the Injured NL and Injured L toggle signify on the character sheet?

I believe the toggle is to indicate whether injuries sustained are Lethal or Non-Lethal (Stun or Deadly in 2E rules).

I'm struggling with this one, too. Don't see a way to make an arbitrary roll for the ship from either the character sheet or party ship's sheet. Specifically trying to figure out how to roll a ship's assist die for a character action that isn't predefined. It would be great if there was a generic major action in the ship section of the character sheet to allow rolling an arbitrary action that included the following:

Freeform, editable name
Character Attribute/Department picker (can be set to blank if should just be a ship roll)
Ship System/Department Picker (to roll an assist with the assigned ship's stats if not blank)
Editable difficulty number

I think with this you could set up and roll pretty much any character action that hasn't been pre-defined.
