View Full Version : Extracting Table Information

Hi,

Not sure if this is the best place for this query but here goes.

In the ruleset I've developed I have several tables that are rolled against when a crtitical hit or attack fumble is required. Some of the info in the result (displayed in the chat window) includes additional damage and specific conditions.

Is there a way I can extract this information so it can be applied automatically to the target of the roll? For example, the number of additional hits being applied to the target in the Combat Tracker or applying a specific condition like prone, stunned, etc.

The attachment shows the information from a table that would be shown in the chat window.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not a coder and not used the Ruleset, but the Rolemaster Ruleset has specially designed critical tables that apply additional effects. It is not the same as the normal tables you can make though. Maybe try to speak with Dakadin (the Rolemaster Ruleset overlord) or Bayne (he has a bunch of extensions and I know he made a special one for people to create their own Rolemaster critical tables)

I've moved these posts to their own thread in "The Workshop" sub-forum, which is the best place to discuss general FG coding.

That definitely looks like an I.C.E. style crit table, are you doing RMU by any chance?

Anyway, the extension referred to is for the hit tables, not the critical tables, I believe, but you can find it at the link below:

It's for my Battletech ruleset and I've based the critical table on the I.C.E. ones.

I'll check out the extension mentioned.
