View Full Version : On hit critical / Automating Adamantine Weapons

The 5e24 DMG has listings for adamantine weapons. The ability of this weapon is that any hit is a critical hit.
Is there a way to do an IF/THEN effect for this? So, IF hit THEN crit?
I was trying to use the effects builder module, but couldn't figure out what to select to generate this result.

You only get an automatic critical hit if you hit an object with these weapons. Since object isn't a valid creature type then there's currently not a way to test to see if the target is an object or not. Since it's unlikely that hitting an object will come up that often I'd just hold down the SHIFT (not CTRL) key when dealing damage to an object to make it critical damage.
