Hello All, I have finished with the Traveller Core Rulebook Update 2022 and it should be available.
It has LOS on the ship deck plans.
Example Task Chains.
Errata applied.
And much more.
Have fun and enjoy.

I want to express my thanks to Stargrove for their assistance. I do not think I could have finished without their help.
They provided extensions, and valuable advice.
Thanks very much

Thanks but what happened to FG stating the update to 2022 would be free for those that had older 2E?

Again i don't really want to ping a mod and ask for this free even though i own the normal core book as people have worked on it but if it was done as a "Complete set" on steam the same as the supply catalogue was done i would happily pay for it again that way.

Yes, it is available on Steam as well. If you are on the page, it will show the bundle available to you.

Being one of those that complained about having to pay additional for the 2022 Update, I won't be buying this. I mean holy freakin Imperium, it costs $77 on Steam in my countries currency - for an update! Costs even more if I buy it through the fantasygrounds.com store.
I've moved on to Cepheus Engine anyways, which better suits my homebrewing tastes and...it lets me put ground vehicles in the Combat Tracker! ;)
Just wish I hadn't spent the $ on the MGT2e ruleset, which has proven to be my most dubious purchase for FGU to date. Oh well, c'est la vie.

We posted (linked above) that the update was a fair amount of work for a new developer, but we were leaving it up to the customer to decide whether or not it warranted a repurchase at a discount. The discount only shows up when added to your cart if you shop at fantasygrounds.com, or when using the bundle on Steam that is available on the steam product page.
Bundle link that should grant you a 50% discount (https://store.steampowered.com/app/3769590/Fantasy_Grounds__Traveller_Core_Rulebook_Update_20 22/)
From the linked forum post above:
For people who are upset by this, you can reach out to support.fantasygrounds.com and we will get you a free version of the new module. Just provide your username and request a free copy of MGP40095TRVMG2E. If your account has MGP40003TRVMG2E on it already, then we will grant it free of charge. Our ultimate goal is to make our customers happy and maintain a thriving community around Traveller.

From the linked forum post above:
Good to hear some consideration has been given to players who purchased the original MGT2E ruleset.
More than an updated ruleset, the bigger need for me is the ability to place vehicles in the combat tracker. I tend to run walker and tank heavy campaigns and not being able to have vehicles in the CT is a pain, if not a deal breaker. I posted a feature request for that years ago in a suggestion thread here and there was some acknowledgement of it, but nothing has happened. Since I bought MGT2E, Cepheus Engine has come on the FGU scene and it allows me to put vehicles in the CT. So while a 2022 updated version of the rules would be nice (should probably mention I've been fine running tables IRL with my 2020 CRB), the need for vehicles in the CT is more important.
Hence my comment that it was a dubious purchase, because the FGU MGT2E ruleset has never really supported the type of adventures I want to run. Should I make a plea to support that I should get the update for free, considering the ruleset hasn't really delivered for me? Maybe, but that still wouldn't get me any further homebrewing a Foreven sector campaign with players driving some serious heavy metal into pitched land battles. Unless an update that allows vehicles in the CT is imminent, I'm probably best to just cut my losses and contintue to brew with CE.

I'm not aware of any ongoing development to add vehicle CT support for Traveler at this time. There was a developer working on Traveler that stepped away and support passed to us internally. We have to balance that with all the other ruleset work we have going on - new rulesets, maintenance on all other official rulesets, enhancement requests, etc. I looked in the feature requests list and did not see your request. I would recommend adding it there and creating a new post in the forums to direct other Traveler fans to vote on it. We routinely look at the feature request list to see what are the most requested features. We then pick items that are doable based from the list to work on. We don't always pick the top voted items from the list, but seeing demand for an item is helpful.

It was a suggestion thread here in this forum that I entered my request. If that thread no longer exists, that's unfortunate. I didn't make a feature request at the link you provided, because the feature to have vehicles in the Combat Tracker is ruleset speciific. My understanding is that the official request form doesn't allow you to make requests specific to a ruleset, just to the Fantasy Grounds VTT in general. To the best of my knowledge, only Cepheus Engine and Savage Worlds allow you to place vehicles in the CT, so it's not like it's a common feature among rulesets.

Then it shouldn't be that hard to add to traveller with all those examples. How long would it take after the request is made?

Fallout, Star Trek, Dune, SFRPG, and 5E
OK, more than I recalled. I own 2 of those (STA & 5E) and had forgotten about STA, but I've never had vehicles in the CT for 5E. Makes sense that Fallout and Dune would support it, as they share similar 2d20 DNA to STA.
It would be nice to have support for it in MGT2E, but were it to be included, I'd personally rather vehicles be in the character CT, rather than a separate CT such as the spacecraft have.

I would definitely agree with this is so far as vehicle weapons are more like personal weapons for damage. Whereas spacecraft level weaponry is on a different scale so it makes much more sense for vehicles to be in the regular combat tracker.
