Savage Pathfinder New Character Skills

Today was filling in sheet for a campaign due to start. One of their skills is d10. The skill right click only allows me to increase the default (d4) by +2 to d8. How do I get it to d10? If I duplicate the process it merely reverts to d4.

Not sure this is the problem but I never use the right click to increase a skill, I drop the correct dice over the dice next to the skill, in this case a D10. Otherwise it may be an issue of the d10 raising the skill higher than the linked attribute?

As Ellspeth mentions, don't use the right-click temporary boosts to adjust the dice. The gotcha to changing the skill die is that you need to unlock the PC first, then you can drag the relevant die from the desktop to the die field in the skill, or use the right-click menu "Assign" option.
