View Full Version : Requested Feature: Show Soundset when Searching for Sounds

I have added the following feature request online, but it seems like such a straightforward enhancement, I thought I would post it here to see if it could be implemented more quickly.

In the Sound: Settings window for Syrinscape, when listing the search results for sounds, the column "Sound Pack" should be changed to "Sound Pack/Set" and the Sound Set should be listed for items that do not have a Sound Pack (private Sound Sets). This would help users who create private SoundSets to distinguish which SoundSet a particular item belongs to. The data for this is in the fifth column of the CSV file, right after the column that contains the Sound Pack for official sound packs.

I hope this is not derailing the whole thread, but I think a huge rework of how sounds work as a whole, needs to be done. It sucks.

I think there are some sounds that are a part of multiple sound sets, so that might be prohibiting any clarity of filtering, especially if the reporting text field size is limited. I will vote for this request though.
I don't even believe this is a capability through the web player or the play cue on the Syrinscape account and sound management areas. This might need to cone down through Syrinscape too.

Yes, that is the issue I am having. I use the same sound in multiple sound sets and would like to know which one a given sound is coming from, so I can select the correct one. The data is already in the CSV file, but is not being displayed.
