Hi there,

Just noticing the old language tags to put into Abilities tab don't seem to work, i.e. Speaks All, Understands All, etc.

Any advice?

Ruleset? Any Extensions?
Can you provide steps to reproduce in a new campaign with no extensions?

This was reported last week and MoonWizard responded saying a fix is queued up.

Even tried "comprehend languages", etc. with no effect. Only picking up base languages listed in Languages section.

The issue pointed to in the linked thread above is a different one (and it has been fixed since that post was made) to the one noted above in the first post. In the April update a new set of effects was added to the ruleset for languages detailed here https://fantasygroundsunity.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FGCP/pages/996642031/5E+Effects+for+Advanced+Automation#Language-Effects

So instead of languages being added to the Languages section in the Abilities tab; languages are now added via effects in the actions tab. Thus LANG: all will be the equivalent of Understands All etc. Having said that if you add a language, such as Draconic or Giant to the Languages section in the abilities tab this still works; however, Understands all, Comprehend all etc does not. I don't know if this is by design or whether it is a bug.

It is by design; as all of that behavior was moved to the new effects.

I can say that in 2e the Languages as Effects is working great.

Having the Effect on the character sheet for any language you can create works, the font choices continued through the change over, the html for chat stayed the same as well.

It took about 20 minutes of fiddling with setting up each language and the players do not see a different.
