When the thief successfully hits with a backstab attack there is a damage multiplier effect that is then added. For a 1-4th level thief the damage is X2. The weapon used has a damage of 2d4+1. FGU rolls the 2d4 and gets a 2 on both dice. The weapon damage is 2d4. The only thing that is multiplied is the +1 and becomes 2. The damage should be 4X2 and 1X2. Only the 1X2 is showing. I have also tested this with no extensions, and the same thing occurs. I also looked at the option settings and there seems to be nothing there that impacts backstab damage.

If on the weapon it is 2d4+1 damage, that is supposed to be multiplied (by the book). Magic or strength bonuses are not suppose to. However due to the complexities of the ruleset as it is it will include those as well.

Celestian,

Thanks for the response. I could not remember if the original damage was listed and then doubled and that was made it confusing for me and the players in my campaign. After several of us retested it we realized that the system was working as designed.

BTW, thanks for all your hard work in Fantasy grounds.
