View Full Version : Weird map glitch when trying to edit occlusion points

Does anyone know why this is happening? This is a repeatable issue that occurs when I try to move a wall occlusion point in this particular map. The moment I select any point; it creates a wall line in a random direction that leads off to eternity. I recorded the issue, and I exported the map, both of which are available at the link below. I loaded the map in a clean campaign, and the issue still occurs.

Steps to repeat:

Download Map Glitch.mod and place in the FGU Modules folder.
Start a game and load Map Glitch.mod.
Open the map, and unlock it, then select Line of Sight mode.
Move any point on the map.

I've passed along to Carl to review. Thanks for the data.

Following two weeks of patches, I'm still seeing this issue. Any update? I'm hesitant to try and redraw the walls for fear that it will be a wasted effort if the problem is still happening. TiA!

We did one release on May 5; but this was reported after the development for that version had been completed. A fix for this is currently queued for the next release; but we're still figuring out the date.

The issue is a transform bug on flipped layers. If you flip the layer horizontally, you should be able to edit the occluders normally. You could then flip the layer again when you are finished.

Thank you both for the updates! I will try the suggested fix. :)

Sorry for necroing this thread, but this problem and another (likely related) one has returned after the most recent patch. 5e, Fantasy Grounds - v4.7.4 ULTIMATE (2025-07-01).

On a custom map that I am adding walls to, I can draw the initial wall without issue. However, when I try to edit an occlusion point to manually connect it with another point, the occlusion point is held a short distance away from the cursor's location. See the linked video for an example: https://1drv.ms/v/c/a1f9cc571d6f2f87/EZbGlu33LM9BkRn-5-DjmfQBRsTirYqEGlDVc2huc3Wx3g?e=rhqvQx.

So, I started a new campaign with no extensions loaded to see if I could recreate this issue and, instead of replicating the new issue, the same issue as before occurs where I grab an occlusion point, and immediately the point leaps away to infinity (?). The latter is the same issue as was described, and previously fixed, in the original post.

Can you provide a copy of the new campaign with no extensions loaded?

Gladly! Please find the zipped up "Test 2" campaign here at this link: https://1drv.ms/u/c/a1f9cc571d6f2f87/EWbEeyMUz6ZAmpzTz2kNePoBrBDfMhVJj9Ki1WhYdSX-Gg?e=PITUMa.

This was a new 'clean' campaign I just created for this report. I only have The Lost Mines of Phandelver loaded to have a map available to demonstrate the issue. That problem occurs again when I try to move any occlusion point on any map from that adventure. In a separate Test campaign, the issue also occurred with maps from other purchased products.

Note that the issue referred to in this post was secondary to the issue referenced in the video clip from my last post. As of today, the issue of the offset cursor, as shown in the video, is still happening when I try to edit a point on a custom map.

I'm getting the same issue, doesn't look like it's happening with my own created images only ones from modules.

I load a module, (in this case LMOP) open the image in the module (Cragmaw - Players), unlock it, then unlock the layer, add LOS to the map. Select a point and try moving it and it shoots off in a weird direction.

Attaching fresh campaign.

A fix for this has been submitted and will be available in the next Release update.
