Control Z does not erase newly added text

As in the title: If I add a new text, then control+z will not erase the newly added text and instead will undo whatever other edit happened

This is working for me, at least in a story entry. Is there a specific sequence of events required or a particular place where it's not happening?

Ooh, sorry, I forgot the essential point: I added a text on an image :D So, I only meant texts on an image :)
