Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has already been asked — I imagine it probably has, but I couldn’t find a definitive answer.

Let’s say I start a game with some friends using the Remaster ruleset (Player Core, GM Core, etc.). I’ve previously purchased a module that was published in Legacy format on Fantasy Grounds.

Can I still use that Legacy module within a Remaster campaign?
And if so, what would be the impact on automation and mechanics (e.g., conditions, spells, actions)?

Thanks in advance for any guidance!

Yes, you can.

Certain things will be automated for you -- e.g. "flat-footed" and "off-guard" are treated as interchangeable by the ruleset, "negative" to "void", etc.

Certain things will definitely not be. For instance, if you're using an AP that was published with legacy NPCs, items, etc -- those are baked into the AP itself and they will not automatically be replaced with any records from any remastered content you may have. In such a case, you may want to e.g. edit encounters and replace NPCs with their remastered equivalents, and do the same for parcels.

If you load a legacy module that overlaps with a remastered module, you'll see the records from both of them even where they have the same name. FG doesn't have any way to e.g. specify that one source supersedes another source as far as same-name records are concerned.
