Hi everyone,

I’m working with a small team on a mobile app specifically designed for Dungeon Masters to control and enhance soundscapes during their games. This tool includes features like:

Layered music tracks and ambient sound effects

Playlist switching to match game flow

Voice-friendly focus mode for smooth narration

Reverb and environmental effects for immersion

All packed into a simple, smartphone-based interface

The idea is to make it easier for DMs to bring their game worlds to life with audio — no more fumbling through YouTube playlists or multiple apps during a session.

We’re looking for feedback from active DMs, especially those who use Virtual Tabletops like Fantasy Grounds, to ensure that we’re meeting your needs. If you’re open to sharing your thoughts, just reply here and I’ll send over a short survey link.

Thanks in advance for your time — and happy DMing!

Caleb, if you can, reach out to Monument Studios and potentially partner with them to help increase their footprint into cellphone and desktop app expansion.
Most of the challenges have to do with local security, keeping up with changes to a given platform's API and such. Platform integration and routing the audio is another big potential challenge.
