Good evening all.

I just bought Quests from the Infinite Staircase for FGU. I'm confused. There only seems to be GM maps? I briefly looked through the images, however, right from the first adventure -- the maps all show the "S" for secret doors and one map even marks the spot of traps.

How is this feasible to use in a game session if the players will see such details?

Thanks.

Also hope everyone that celebrates had a nice Easter.

Look at the layers. There are two (or more) layers. One is the GM map and one is the player map. The GM map is set to only be visible to the GM, so that the GM sees what they should while the players only see what they should. All "new" modules have been doing this for about a year or so.

Thanks. I’ll check out the layers I wasn’t aware. I’ve not played a newer module in more than a year. So never knew of the change.

I've been trying for two days to get the QFTIS module to reveal a room to players. I'm testing to see if they will be able to see what I want to share as we progress.

I think I have making disabled properly and I'm trying to select an area and share it with them. I've watched youtube videos and read the forums and I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong or have settings set up incorrectly.

Is there a checklist of step 1, step 2, step 3, etc that I can try? Is there something I am just missing???

Open the image and drag the player tokens from the Combat Tracker onto the map in the room that they start in. Then share the map with your players using the icon highlighted in the image below. Make sure that your players have a light source like a torch or lantern, or they have special vision such as Darkvision. If you unlock the map and in the right hand panel click on Enable/disable player vision preview you'll be able to see what your players see.

If this doesn't help see the second video here https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?55797-How-do-I-in-Unity and if you still can't figure it out could you post some screenshots of what your are seeing with some more details of what the issue is.
