Greetings Everyone.
Looking for a quick answer regarding Story Template Naming.
I know that you can add a table result or a date format to the name of your generated story through formatting the name of the story template.
What I would like to do is just add an incremented value/variable such as....
Dungeon Room 1
Dungeon Room 2
Dungeon Room 3
Is this possible with the current Story Templates and I am just missing it?
If not, anyone a trick up your sleeve.. Not critical to the room generator I am trying to build but sure would be helpful in keeping things better organized.
Thanks for taking a look.

You could add it within the body of story, but it won't change the title of the story.

I manually add a number to the begining of the generated story right after it is created. I.e. 1.01, 1.02...2.01, 2.02, etc. In my method I use 1st number as sort of chapter, then 2nd is subset, like a scene in that chapter. It is all about bookkeeping, once you start and get the hang of the process, pretty easy. And I love how it organizes it all.

Instead of using story entries use advanced story entries instead. (That is create a book rather than stories). Books are much more versatile than stories since you can embed images, and have coloured text boxes, columed text and a lot more. Also the indexing system is much easier to use and you can move entries around more easily than you can with stories.

That is a good point, but can a Story Template generate into a Book entry? I believe you would need to drag the generated Story to the book (not at my home computer right now to check).

IF you want to get really advanced, you can use TJLee's extension FG Forge - View Item (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1870/view) to add even more capability to story templates. They can create Advanced Stories, and they do have more capabilities around titles. Since titles are generated last, they can pull variables that are generated in the story. Don't know if it can add a sequential number, but can make the names more unique.
