Hi all,

It there a way to show the total movement of a token while dragging it when not using the token lock function?

It can be done using '5E Extension: Step Counter' ( https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/2164/view ) but that also does other things I'm not interested in.
I'm only after the token drag movement indicator.

Thanks in advance :D

No. Natively, token lock is the way to show movement; whilst not having token lock allows for free movement without restrictions.

Hi,

you can turn off all of the extra functions in Step Counter so it just displays how far your token has moved.

Cheers,

Simon

Only thing you can do is vote the feature on the feature list (it's already on there) and hope Smiteworks adds it at some point.

We're working on that feature now.

Interestingly enough; we were just working on this item this week.

In the beta test channel (v4.7.0); planned token movement can be initiated when token lock is off by holding the Alt key for either GM or players.

Now this is an update I can get behind! Nice! I look forward to this feature. I got people running all over the place sometimes.

Multiple concurrent random encounters will nip that in the bud pretty quickly.
