I used to have sound setup in FG back in the late days of Classic and/or Early days of Unity. I forget exactly which iteration I was using sounds in. Maybe even both. At some point I canceled the Syrinscape subscription as I wasn't running games.

Now I am getting ready to run some games and am trying to get Syrinscape running again. I can play sounds in the Syrinscape web player and own a few sets. I can't get the Web Import or the CSV file import to play sounds. I've deleted the sound CSV files that were in the main Fantasy Grounds folder and re-authed the Syrinscape token. Syrinscape works on it's own and through Kenku.fm.

Here is what I am seeing when I try to do the Web Import in FG.

I've tried running the Syrinscape CSV file through Mattekures web based converter and it tells me that it isn't a Syrinscape CSV file. This is what the Syrinscape generated CSV file looks like in LibreOffice.

What am I doing wrong?

I have an active Syrinscape subscription and it started doing this for me, too. It was working up until a few days ago.

Links that I've already created still work, but I can't make new ones that work.

Indeed, I just changed computers and was resetting up Sounds in my campaign. I was going to have another go at finding out what the issue is today but it seems that it's not just me. I'll make sure the devs see this; I'm not sure if this is an FG VTT issue or a Syrinscape issue but someone will know.

Hey guys,

The SS team were working on some upgrades; and there was an issue with one of their backward compatibility setups.

Can you try again, and let me know if it's working for you again?

Thanks,

Working for me too! Import had no issues and sound links function as expected.

It's kind of working for me, but not completely. It does indeed import, but it looks like there is some sort of limit being exceeded. I have MANY custom sound sets in Syrinscape, and it looks like a lot of data is missing from the Web Import. If I Download Remote Control Links (CSV) in Syrinscape and import it into Fantasy Grounds, I get different missing data but there are definitely missing items. That file is much larger than the one from the Web Import as it contains columns that are not used by Fantasy Grounds in addition to the missing rows. It also takes a lot longer to download.

Was the issue on the Syrinscape side? Does Fantasy Grounds do any post-processing to the file from Syrinscape during the Web Import, such as removing the extra columns?

The issue was with Syrinscape in this instance.SO you might want to post on their forums if you think your custom stuff is missing.

I reached out to Syrinscape and the issue seems to be resolved for the moment. I am not sure if they had to change anything on their end, but my custom sounds seem to be importing properly in FGU.
