View Full Version : What's next in the World of Darkness

Between the FG Store and the FG Forge, we currently have roughly 23 pieces of content for World of Darkness Games. Since VTM has been released longer, there is obviously more content for it, than the other titles. Vampire is sitting at 16 options between the Store and Forge.

WTA comes in Second with 6 options(some free/others for purchase).

Finally we have Hunter the Reckoning. HTR has the ruleset/corebook available, and that's where the options end.

So here I am asking the Community at large, what do you want to see adapted for use in Fantasy Grounds next?

Should I focus my efforts on converting books for Vampire, or do you all want to see more for WTA and HTR?
Do you want to see the Play Renegade adventures next, or stick with converting the actual books?

Here's your chance, what do we need to convert next in order to help our community grow?

To me The Book of nod was really unnecessary, it does not add any game mechanics or chronicle content that cannot be added easily by ourselves.
I would hope the same is not done with Revelations of the Dark Mother.
What I am looking for is primarily chronicles and supplements then (which has been performed for WtA so far):

VtM The Fall of London
VtM The Crimson Gutter
VtM Blood Sigils
HtR Lines Drawn in Blood
HtR Alma Maters [FULLFILLED]
VtM Blood-Stained love (optional)

[UPDATE 2025-10-04]
VtM Tattered Facade Sourcebook
WtA Wyrmtide sourcebook
WtA The Moonlit Path Sourcebook
HtR Incognito Report

Thanks!

The Book of Nod and Revelations of the Dark Mother, admittedly are more important for V20 chronicles. That said, I personally love the lore contained in both books. I've used both books to fuel the desires of both players and their characters.

Plus, these were requested to be implemented by Renegade Game Studios.

I'm going to try to rotate through the three (possibly 4) game lines with further releases. I want to provide enough content for as many groups as possible. I need more feedback from the community at large, to make that happen though.

Thanks for the list @Naurthoron

I would really like to know when Classic World of Darkness will be added to the store. It's odd that only New World of Darkness is currently available and playable. The newer content doesn't seem to perform well, likely because many players simply aren't interested in it.

Frankly, the New World of Darkness feels janky, poorly thought out, and mismanaged. It comes across as a disjointed, out-of-touch product that lacks the care and cohesion fans expect.

In contrast, Classic World of Darkness is rich with lore, cohesive world-building, and deep backstory. It's clear that the original creators were passionate about the universe they built, focusing on storytelling and immersive content rather than pushing personal or political agendas.

Please consider bringing to the store, Classic World of Darkness—it’s what many long-time fans are truly looking for.

That's up to the publisher of the content; so you'll have to reach out to the publisher who owns the World of Darkness. We have only been allowed a license to publish the new World of Darkness books.

With the nearly 40 years of history involved, there truly is a wealth of lore and story to explore in the combined World of Darkness games. Technically speaking, to explore the full breadth of the game lines would require no less than three (3) different rulesets to implement.

The current ruleset is for V5, W5, H5, ect... (New "old" world of darkness) This ruleset uses the new dice mechanics and focuses on younger characters. Gehenna War and In Memoriam allow the introduction of older Kindred. Both W5 and H5 are still relatively new additions and are still being fleshed out...

The Chronicles of Darkness, would then need a separate ruleset. (New world of darkness) There was a lack of overarching story with a more episodic and isolated feel to each game line. Streamlined game mechanics helped to speed up action resolution and emphasized PC agency and importance.

The "Old" world of darkness could then be divided into classic and V20 game lines, but for brevity we will include them as the Old world of darkness. These "crunchier" world of darkness games use completely different dice mechanics and an abundance of additional rules, requiring a separate ruleset to accomplish automation and implementation.

Then we have to consider licensing and IP requirements. Between White Wolf, Paradox Interactive, Onyx Path, Modiphius, and Renegade Game Studios there's a lot of content out there. Hopefully the reemergence of White Wolf will simplify the whole process. That said, the individual rulesets would still have to be created before the full World of Darkness could be explored in the store.

Many long-time fans are also happy with the new edition and new players are coming to it.
The publisher discontinued the old lines so I do not expect them to be available anymore outside of PDFs and fan-made.
Many 20th and older editions fans have asked for support on these editions for some time already and nothing came out of the publisher.
We may keep crying, but I do not think it will ever happen and the more time passes, the less it will likely happen

I too am interested in seeing how Mage is interpreted in 5th edition!

Mage is the closest I can get to Ars Magica play without actually playing Ars. I think it's a great magic system and maybe Shadowrun is up there as well. I think Changling would be great along with Wraith. We'll see if they will see a 5e treatment.
