Hi

I was hoping that you can help with these two things...

My player Has loaded the 5e 2024 players handbook and the player facing Dragon lance material...but when they try to use the drag and drop method for character creation nothing is available for them...From my side as dm I can drag and drop and I see all the books available to them but they can not...what can I do ?

Also they are constantly getting grey screens while we are trying to go through this process.
Attached below are three screen shots they sent me.

63774
63775
63776

I shared a map with them and placed their character into the combat tracker and then onto a map...

They could move around and see things but what they saw was not as it is from the DMs view It was kinda like they were in space no npc characters. no details, no colors.

I had earlier on all my maps put on ''Sunshine'' in the ambient light to guarantee that they could see.

Any help for both of these would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

My first thought would be extensions. Can you replicate this in a new campaign without extensions?

It's the dot (period) at the end of the campaign name that's causing most of the errors in the screenshots - I'm surprised the GM didn't see these as well, unless they're not running on a Window computer. Re-create the campaign with a name that doesn't end in a dot.

A few thoughts:

* As @Zacchaeus mentioned, are you using any extensions?
* Make sure that the player modules for Dragonlance are marked with the green check icon in the Library->Modules->Activation window.
* When placing a character on a map that has the Lighting option turned on, a character cannot see anything unless there is a light within their vision or on their token.

Hi Zacchaeus,

I had used only one extension ( wood ) then changed to the ( 2024 dnd ) extension and then back ( to wood )...
but yes... I will definitely now try a new campaign without extensions.

Thank you.

Hi Moon,

* Only one at a time...( wood then 2024's dnd )
* Yes they were all open.
* I clicked sunlight for the map and added light spells on the pc and several npc's within a 20 foot space of the pc.

But I will try with a new campaign...

Thanks for your help.

Hi Trenloe

I will do that now.

Is there a way to transfer the edits in the adventure that I have already made... over to the new campaign ?
I have many tokens and images and maps and it will unfortunately take a a lot of time to start from scratch in the new campaign.

Just curious if there is a way to transfer over everything when things are working well in the new campaign.

Thank you for the advice.

With FG closed, just rename the campaign folder. No transferring needed.

Hi

I created a new campaign with no extensions and no periods after the campaign name...( while using my wife's computer for the player view...) and it works perfectly : )

Just hoping there is a way to either change my campaign name or transfer the campaign over to this new one.
