Combat tracker NPC numbering

Is there a way to have Fantasy grounds apply the number to an NPC before the NPC name, instead of after ?

If there were, it would make life easier for the GM, as currently, if the NPC name is a long name e.g. "MaxDigital Guard (Alerted) 6", I am losing inches of valuable screen space, just to be able to see what number an NPC has been given.

Do I have to do this manually, or rename every single NPC? surely there must be a way.

What ruleset are you using? The name you mentioned seems to fit in fine. There is no option to place the number before the name. With the new initiative marker it's now a lot easier to see which token's turn it is on the map which might help you a bit. What circumstances do you have that requires you to know what the NPC number is on the CT? Perhaps there;s some advice we can give you that might not already be apparent to you.

You could also use the Combat List at the top left of the screen rather than the Combat tracker to find the number.
