Just taking a first look and testing out some existing modules with the updated ruleset - first impressions: liking the updated STA theme and the addition of the Extended Test Tracker. Nice work @superteddy57! (& any of the other developers that worked on this update :) )

So, am I to understand that STA v2 upgrade has been released?

The ruleset is capable of switching between 1E and 2E similar to how our 5E ruleset can switch between Legacy and 2024. The Options will contain the option for the game version. This however will not deny you the capability of loading 1E in a 2E game. Both should work together.

Great to see the update rules being introduce to FG. My question relates to the Character Sheets. Are you looking at upgrading them to reflect the Species Ability introduced in Second Edition or do we have to wait for the full updated version of the core rulebook if planned. Tks.

I'm not understanding the question. Can you elaborate for me on what you are asking about?

I have uploaded a screen shot of the new character sheet to explain my question. There is a new addition for species ability on the right side of the sheet.

The Species ability is a talent for all purposes from what I saw in the new core rulebook, and that is where it will be placed.

I actually like this, since it allows for species who haven't been given an official ability yet to be given a 5th talent instead. (In concept, at least, since I haven't updated to the version that has 2E yet :p )
Edit: Ok, updated! Am I missing how to get 2E versions of things (e.g. species, talents), or are they not implemented?
Edit: When I added a species ability to a 2E custom species, it didn't seem to get added to the list of talents, but was named a talent in the exported module. I also seem to be unable to drag talents to the Species Ability/Talent Choices area when creating a new species.
Edit: Ok, it seems that for a custom species, we have to manually type in the name of existing talents in their available choices, which automatically puts them in the filter in the character creator... but in order to get a custom talent available, we have to *also* create it via the talents field. That all seems a bit cumbersome.

I anticipate that most of the new stuff will be introduce once we get access to STA Core rule book for 2nd edition. In the meantime, you incorporate these yourself in your game.
