I need some help getting campaign and player data, etc. to appear after connecting to the FG app. I was told to have my GM switch to cloud connection and to whitelist. I've tried these things but the issues persist.

I have attached the error log. I have also attached screenshots of whitelisting via Bitedefender and my Mac settings.

Thanks very much in advance.

It's most likely related to a new Mac "security feature" in MacOS 15.x that can block peer-to-peer application access. We had one of our support guys write up a quick wiki article on how to check and change.

I actually hadn't upgraded yet to Sequoia. But I'll upgrade now and then see if this is the issue.

Thanks,

Can you provide more details of what the issue is please. The logfiles suggest you don't have any library modules activated - you won't see player data (ancestries, backgrounds, classes, feats, spells, items, etc.) until you activate a module. If you're having issues activating modules, please describe the steps you're taking. If it's not this, please provide details of what you're experiencing.

Once FG unity opens, all you see is the blank character bar on top, no combat tracker, no characters, etc. It's just the background and there literally isn't anything to load or interact with. As if my character and all the other content all disappeared.

It happened to most of the players in my group last weekend. Although it eventually started to work for everyone except me. But we all suffered the same blank, lack of content FG unity weirdness. And it stayed blank for a really long time. For the other players, they eventually got some error messages and that is when it started working. After the errors popped up is surprisingly when it started working for them.

Very briefly, after I eventually got some errors (at least a half an hour of leaving FG open with nothing on it) it looked like it was working on my end. And it was again after the error messages. But then modules weren't loading and I was still unable to access the campaign content. I tried connecting again to the server and now nothing happens after the error messages. It stays empty and blank.

If it's happening to everyone in the group, then most likely there is something on the GM side that is throttling data throughput between their machine and the player machines over the Internet. Remember that the GM machine is the FG server, so all data gets served from the GM machine to the player machines directly.

In that case, the GM will want to make sure that their Internet network connection is not slowed down in some way; and to double-check all of their security settings on their machine as well as their router security settings and their Internet provider security settings. Anything that can "throttle" or "filter" the network could impact performance of sharing data.

Well one of the players had no issues at all. And eventually the other two players that had issues were able to properly connect to content and play and I was the only one left who couldn't. I still can't and I completed the upgrade to sequoia. I was never given a prompt to allow FG. I also checked in the system settings/privacy/local network and there's nothing there. So doesn't look like FG even registered as attempting to request permissions.

One thing new did happen though. And that was me getting booted from FG. Previously the app stayed open and not much happened. But now I got kicked for the first time. I've attached a new error log.

All the logs are able to tell me is that the connection to the server was closed/dropped. This means that something is killing the connection between the GM machine and your machine. I would also look at the Troubleshooting guide to check your firewall settings, router settings and Internet provider settings for anything that throttles, filters, blocks data.

Well, it ended up eventually working today. Still unsure what the issues were. And there were still some complications today. But eventually it worked so for now I guess this is resolved. Thanks for the help y'all.
