Hi

Just wanted to triple check if this was ok...

I have several pictures and for lack of time ( I know thats a red flag right there : ) I placed a picture into the Token - Flat/Token - Camera/ and Picture spot.

and it seems to show just fine in the Camera and token viewing mode on 5e... BUT I don't want to mess anything up down the road. So I will make tokens and place them in the correct place in the future.

My question is is it actually ok to put a token, picture or portrait in any of the other places and there be no problems other than them not lookin right or optimal ?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

Yes, they're fairly interchangeable. If you don't put anything into the token camera box FG will use the token flat as the default for that. The picture doesn't need anything in it - it's there to share with players if you want to; it's not used for anything else.

I am working on a Bestiary for PF1e thats free on forge (https://forge.fantasygrounds.com/shop/items/1980/view), but I also am making the images available for free in this thread (https://www.fantasygrounds.com/forums/showthread.php?83935-Looking-for-a-little-help). I update the google drive links as I update the Bestiary (they are actually live faster in google drive as I update the bestiary only every 10 NPCs or so).

each image has all 3 styles, Picture, Token and camera.

hope it helps.
