How would you handle the concepts of Close, Near, Far, Extreme? There are times that a quick random encounter would get slowed by having to find a map, populate it, add walls, etc and you want to use ToM. I can't find a good way to do it if the player characters were previously on a map. Would you just use the Modifiers box?

It would be a quality of life thing if Combat and Powers page if there was a button that would open the Modifiers window. I noticed there is no feedback when you click the Modifier to let the player know that they have applied the modifier. Is that part of the base Core or or some extension?

Thanks in advance,
Mark

I've done it one of two ways:

1) Just adjust the modifiers manually
2) Use a blank 'chase' map with 3-n cards for short/medium/long range and adjust the Distance Multiplier accordingly to approximate the range increments you want to force the automation to use.

If you're talking about the numeric modifiers, than you should see the numbers populate in the Modifier box on the lower left of the screen.

But to your other question, since the Modifier library has all of the ranges included, I usually just use that for theatre of the mind stuff.
