Use this thread to report bugs in any 2024 books, either the Core Rulebooks or any subsequent books specific to the 2024 version of the 5e rules.

2024 MM; Incorrect table and NPCs
Table: NPCs - By CR; Ankheg, Arch-hag and Assassin show up as not having a CR rating.
NPCs:
The Ankheg NPC is missing its CR (s/b 2) and XP (s/b 450).
The Arch-hag NPC is missing its CR (s/b 21) and XP (s/b 33,000 or 41,000 in lair).
The Assassin NPC is missing its CR (s/b 8) and XP (s/b 3,900).

Loading up the 2024 core rulebooks for the latest Monster Manual is not loading with the DM's Guide and the PHB core button for the popup setup menu. One has to load manually at this time.

In the Monster Manual, the Poltergeist has an error, with part of its size description appearing in the "Type" field. I noticed this when "or" appeared as an option in the Type dropdown in the general NPC menu (apparently it just grabs the first word in that field to populate the dropdown).

Something has either changed with the NPC import tool for the 2024 rule set or the stat block formatting has changed slightly? This will not parse the stat block ability scores properly. I have tried from D&D beyond and my own NPC template with no luck. Do I have some stray or extraneous punctuation or such? The legacy formatting and import filter works as intended.The 2024 Core filter imports mostly correct, except the ability score values and the D&D Beyond filter method generates an error as below.

Traits
Fey Ancestry. The leprecorn has advantage on saving throws against being charmed, and magic can't put it to sleep.
Cursed Ichor. When the leprecorn deals necrotic damage with its Horn attack, the target can't regain hit points until the start of the leprecorn's next turn.
Actions
Multiattack. The leprecorn makes two attacks: one with its Horn and one with its Hooves.
Horn. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 12 (2d8 + 3) Piercing damage plus 7 (2d6) Necrotic damage.
Hooves. Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 10 (2d6 + 3) Bludgeoning damage, and if the target is Medium or smaller, it must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Spellcasting (Innate). The leprecorn casts one of the following spells, requiring no material components, using Charisma as the spellcasting ability (spell save DC 13).

A few very minor issues:
In the new Monster Manual, the Wereboar's Javelin attack has the word "Javelin" missing in the header.
When the character builder adds the Sleep spell to a character sheet, the effect has the word "NOTE" repeated (the Description box reads, "Incapacitated; NOTE: NOTE: Save on end of round (Success ends) (Failure applies Unconscious); (C)").

The Sharpshooter feat is not flagged as a General feat in the character builder; when you select "General" in the category dropdown that feat disappears.

Some of the "Non-ID Notes" fields in the items from the DMG have typos in them. I didn't do a comprehensive search, but I noticed them in the Wand of Fear, the Rod of Alertness, and the Amulet of Health.
There is also a small typo in the description of the "Bag" item.

Just a few more things that came up while working on my latest adventure.
DMG:
Item description, "Gold statuette with rubies": Ggold
Potion of greater invisibility, value should be 20k, not 40k (consumable item)
I noticed that all of the non-magical treasure items in the DMG have been given a weight of 0.04 lbs. That's fine for something like jewelry, but can be odd for something like "Ceremonial gold armor." Not a big deal, but those of us who use encumbrance will have to fix those items manually as we put them in our games. I realize that whoever's converting these has to come up with a value since they are not provided in the original source, but in some past products (e.g., "Tales from the Yawning Portal") miscellaneous treasure items were given more realistic weights.

Hi, I don't know if that's a bug or I understand something wrong.
I have a lvl 1 Druid. I get +1 modifier from my int and +2 proficiency.
My wisdom modifier is +3.
I am proficient in Nature and Arcana.
I also choose Primal Order (Magician) which says:
You know one extra cantrip from the Druid spell list. In addition, your mystical connection to nature gives you a bonus to your Intelligence (Arcana or Nature) checks. The bonus equals your Wisdom modifier (minimum bonus of +1).
The game sets automatically +3 modifier to those skills, but shouldn't it be +6 in this case ?

I don't think that has been automated so you'd need to manually add a bonus into either your Arcana or Nature checks (I don't think you get the bonus for both - it looks like a choice to me) in the skills tab using the MISC box.If you wanted to automate it create an effect of SKILL: [WIS] arcana or SKILL: [WIS] nature. Set the targeting to self and the expire? to never. This will always give the correct bonus if your wisdom modifier ever changed.

It's not a bug, you need to apply a coding effect or manually add the bonus.
Coding effect would be:
Primal Order (Magician); SKILL: [WIS] nature, arcana
Personally, I would just manually adjust the bonus.

@Zacchaeus, has the text format changed again in regards to the built in 2025 Monster Manual NPC stat block parsing of text for Formatting? The example text 'water-weird' you gave me a few weeks ago is now not importing properly.
Edit: Never mind, the stat block I had tried to make, it listed more of a trait like feature with more than a couple words in the Actions tab, and said trait also had (1/Day) and dice rolls like numbers in the trait description, that threw-off the parsing. Doh!

Some issues that came up during test of my current 2024 campaign (no extensions installed):
The NPC "Mage Apprentice" has "Melee Attack" and "Ranged Attack" instead of "Melee Attack Roll" and "Ranged Attack Roll." Strangely, "Melee Attack" does parse but "Ranged Attack" does not.
The "Magic Resistance" NPC trait activates against all saving throws, including a Trip Attack roll and a monk's Stunning Strike. I thought I remembered that it only functioned against spells before, but I could be mistaken.
The "Ring of Animal Influence" item is missing an "s" in the last line of the description.
The following are minor quirks with how the engine places player character abilities on the Actions tab:
The "Rally" combat maneuver imparts regular hit points by default; it should be temporary hit points.
The Step of the Wind monk ability should be set to 1 round duration; by default it has an unlimited duration.
The spell Spirit Guardians concentration effect should be set to Self, instead of Targets.

Thanks, I can fix the Mage wording and the typo in the ring but the rest of it will need some ruleset changes; so I'll pass those on to the developer.

For PC saving throw "cast" actions, there is a checkbox to denote whether a saving throw is "magic" or not, that you can edit for each cast action you add.
Character Abilities
Will look at getting those refined; but will only be updated for new characters (previously created characters will have to fix those powers).

I am not sure if it's an intended feature or not since it can be easily handled manually when it occurs.

Number of Dice of Divine Spark doesn't seems to automatically updated while leveling. (well like all cantrips damage)
Number of Channel Divinity not updated when reaching level 6. (Should be 3 but stay at 2), same at level 18. But going from level 1 to level 2 correctly grant the 2 initial channel divinity

The number of uses and additional dice for cantrips don’t change either level up. There’s currently nothing in the ruleset that does this.
Your second point is correct, it should be DMG. I’ll alert JPG.

Bite is mis-formatted. There are dashes where a comma and a space should be. Also, to make the damage work out correctly, you need to add "plus 10 (3d6) Poison damage" after the first damage as well as the second damage. See below.
Here's my corrections:
Melee Attack Roll: +6, reach 5 ft. Hit: 8 (1d8 + 4) Piercing damage plus 10 (3d6) Poison damage, or 6 (1d4 + 4) Piercing damage if the swarm is Bloodied plus 10 (3d6) Poison damage.
P.S. I haven't checked the other swarms for the same mis-formatting.

We have around 1,600 of the ~3,500 books from our full catalog available in the reader initially (based on the backend module complexity or setup and what would work "out of the box"). The rest of the catalog will be added over the course of the beta.
The 2014 Player's Handbook is at the top of the list for the next pass, so it won't be long.

When creating a Bladesinger it adds Bladesong to the Abilities page but not the Actions page.
When creating a Winter Walker it does not add the class spells. It adds subclass abilities (Fridgid Explorer, Hunter's Rime etc) to Abilities page but not Actions page.
For the Adventures in Faerun book under the Adventures page there appears to be no link to map record and grid not set for the following adventures:

Fury Grove
The Tenebrous Stone
The Lost Dawn
Safe House Standoff
Tears Fall
Shadow of the Watch
Well of Lies

The abilities are indeed added to the abilities tab but they won't appear on the actions tab automatically - this would require a ruleset change in order to automate that. AFAIK the ones in the PHB are hard coded to appear in the actions tab but subclasses in additional books would need to have the ruleset amended to afford them the same treatment. You can open the abilities tab and then click on the link of any ability to open the description and then drag that into the actions tab. In a lot of cases this will create any effects. As for spells they're not added automatically either for the same reason as above. Again you can open the ability and drag the spells in (I'd create a separate power group for them first, and drop them into that group).
All of the maps that you list have a grid. I've screenshot some of them zoomed in so you can see the grid. Not sure why you aren't seeing it.
You can click on the map in the book and then select add to campaign record, or you can select the maps from the image list.

I've already fixed the first one and will get an update out soon. Subclass spells won't get added automatically to the actions tab. It will require an update to the ruleset to support that. I don't see anything wrong with the Young White Dragon. Can you give me more details as to what is wrong?

Sorry, when I add the Young White Dragon from the MM to an Encounter the monster is loaded but it wont calc CR and xp.
Do you know if there will be an "update to the ruleset" so the sub class spells will be added? Sorry, im not sure what this means.

After you add creatures to an encounter, you have to click the Refresh CR button.
An update to the ruleset means that the devs have to agree to add that capability into FG, code it and then push it out in a version. You can "ask" then to do this by making a feature request on the list found here: https://www.fantasygrounds.com/featurerequests

Sorry, when I add the Young White Dragon from the MM to an Encounter the monster is loaded but it wont calc CR and xp.
Do you know if there will be an "update to the ruleset" so the sub class spells will be added? Sorry, im not sure what this means.

Dragged 2024 Druid from PHB onto a character sheet. When it asked about the primal order, the "Warden" description is blank. Had to go look at the class desciption to figure out what "Warden" meant for the character. "Magician" however had text.

There's an editing error on the map in the book. L5 and L7 should be switched. Since L7 is described as having the treasure hoard and L5 on the map shows the treasure hoard, the mistake is obvious.
The easiest way to fix is to adjust the encounters themselves. L5 is the treasure hoard and L7 is the centipede encounter.
