I kicked everyone, removed all extensions, and re-updated. No help.

Ruleset?

The actions tab also seems to be stuck in the "Compressed" style and there's no button to change it anymore?

Click on the lock icon to unlock the character sheet. See the patch notes.

While unlocking the sheet does technically make it "un-compressed", it still now puts it in edit mode instead as you'd expect from unlocking it. Is there no longer the differences between compressed and non-compressed views and it is now only lock and unlock/edit? This is DND 5e Ruleset

Can you show a copy of the screen when you are saying "compressed" vs. "uncompressed"?

IIRC, there used to be a button in the bottom right of the sheet that would allow you to change between having the actions being "compressed" as it is now with the roll and damage actions next to it, and a regular view that would require you to open the drop down, but NOT be in the full edit/preparation as it is now when unlocked. That button is no longer there.

EDIT: Found an old screenshot. You used to be able to have it like this. Note it does NOT have the "delete" button next to it like they do when unlocked now. 63513

There used to be a button that swapped between editing the group name and the action buttons for powers. However, that is automatic now when changing the lock mode on the sheet. If unlocked, it shows and allows you to edit the group name, as well as the delete button for each power. If locked, it shows the action buttons for the power, and hides the group name and delete button.

Ah I understand, I didn't realize it was just a different type of editting mode that has been removed. I'm not a fan of the default denser layout, but I understand the simplification of combining the group edit and action delete into lock and unlock.
Thank you for the clarifications, apologies for any confusion.

Same here and the toggles for Prep / combat are gone right now. 5E (toggles still working in Savage worlds )

This change is not super-intuitive, and as far as I can see, has not been explained anywhere. I followed Zaccheus' suggestion and checked out the patch notes, but I could find no reference to this. Is it a 5e change, or a Core change? It seems to have come with this week's update. I am in FG 60+ hours per week, so I'm pretty confident this is the case. Can someone point me in the direction of the correct patch notes? I have gone through everything recent in the #announcements channel in Discord.

With all due respect, but
[ADDED] Character Sheet Locking. (Detail sheets always editable.)
doesn't explain anything about the fact that locking/unlocking a character sheet is ALSO how we change visualization mode in the Actions tab. "Character sheet locking", with how locking works in other parts of FGU, suggests that it's a way to prevent certain fields from being editable - figuring out that it's also how to change visualization in a specific tab in the sheet is a bit of a logical jump that is not explained in the patch notes.

Not just that. With the new change, you can't even change anything in the HP, notes, money, or anything really unless you unlock it and put it into edit mode, which also prevents you from reading the descriptions of spells which is really annoying.

I'm having an issue where the text below the inventory is gone (in treasure there was blank lines of text), and i don't see an option to turn it back on in settings, or when the character sheets are unlocked, its where i had my players write down their coins incase of accidents or bugs with a shop extension.

Any data there was moved into a currency. That data should be tracked in Inventory (for items), Currency (for coins) or Notes (for any other text).

Is there a reason for this change? or any benefits of removing this option?

That field was always an outlier in the data; and only existed because currency was fixed to exactly 4 currency values in FGC and an overflow was needed. It was meant to be cleaned out many years ago.
Now that you can have any number of currencies, and any number of items; it's not really needed. It was always just a "notes" field.
