I'm not sure if this is desired behavior or not, but viewing any monster's record changes the status of the record (i.e., "the Revert Changes..." button appears, along with the revert arrow in the NPCs list). Why was it designed this way? Shouldn't a record be only marked as changed if the record is unlocked and/or modified?

I'm seeing this in other rulesets with other modules as well. I remember this has popped up as an issue months/years ago and pretty sure it was fixed then.

I'm not seeing this. Are you testing in a new campaign without extensions?

There is a lot of false positives on whether or not something materially changed. If you look in the moduledb folder, you will see the module name listed there in an XML format and it will show what it thinks changed when the record was opened.

Do you have specific NPCs of where this is happening when you open them?

Thanks,

Mea culpa--it was the Life Ledger extension that's at fault. With that extension disabled, the NPC records can be viewed without being marked as 'changed'. I'll take this up with the extension author. Thanks for your responses! :)
