Life Giver not working

Might not be a bug, so I wanted to ask here first.
The assultron picked Life Giver perk as their level 5 and it didn't change their HP, and I can't manually change it from what I see.

No worries! Then how does one manually adjust Hit Points?

On the combat tab you click on the Damage Resistance button and get access to the modifiers for many fields
