Hi,

It seems like the asset gui provides access to all images regardless of whether the module is loaded or not? And if a folder name does not include its module, you have no way of knowing which module contains/provides that folder?

I'm a little reluctant to torch my modules folder, because I don't know which ones I added, and which are fantasygrounds. Ultimately, I'm trying to find base tokens I can safely use, like letters, that dont come from a paid module.

I was hoping that be deactivating all modules in a campaign, i could then tell which were part of fantasygrounds itself. but I was able to see everything.

Indeed. all your assets are available all of the time; it's not dependent on what modules are open. I'm not sure what you mean by a folder name not including the module. Each folder icon in assets represents a module except for two 'Campaign' and 'Data'. Campaign (if present) will contain any assets inside the campaign you have open and 'data' contains all in the assets folder in FG Data that you have placed there yourself. You can have folders inside 'data' each of which will show up as a folder icon in assets > data > your folder name.

The search line will find all assets or folders with the name that you search for. If you search 'letter' with all or images selected you'll find both folders and images. If you select just tokens and then search for letter you'll find just the letter tokens.

I apologize for not articulating my question better. How can I tell whether a folder named "Letter Tokens" is a base folder with Fantasy Grounds that every user will have, or came from a paid module like the DMG? For example, i have another token folder called "D&D Explorers Guide to Wildemount - Adventures" which contains a bunch of letter tokens, but the name is very obvious that folder is part of a paid module.

If you find the folder by search you can't. The only way to know for sure is to browse to them.

But even just browsing, it's impossible to tell which module a folder comes from.

Yes you can. The top left corner is a breadcrumb or path trail. For instance in this case you can see that I have navigated to the Data \ Characters \ Guard Nobles folder

You're correct. From Just the Asset window you can't tell which module a token or image is from as FG combines the contents of all valid module into one virtual directory.

I'm not aware of an easy way to see which module an image or token in the Asset window belongs to.

Going to add this to the Asset Preview window to help. It will be in the Test channel, until release some time this week.
