Hi. I exclusively work in book mode these days, but i was playing with the FG printer, and was looking at the story records, and I saw duplicates of some advanced records with older data in them (with the book pointing to the newer version), and some records that are no longer in the book at all. Do I need to keep a close eye on story records when I'm renaming them in the book, or even apparently editing them? Or... sometimes I've clicked "copy record content" in a book to paste on a second page - does this create third page as a "clipboard"?

The copy content button does not create a new record, so no need to worry about that one.
Also, the links from the book to the content are database links, so changing the name shouldn’t affect the linkage at all.
If you create a story record on its own and never drag it to a book, then it will be a stand alone record.
For older modules, they had to have both, due to the book records not being available through the Story section.

ok. it looks like this module was started May 2024, but i didn't start working on the book until this year (I did my draft in a word doc, the module was for storing/designing NPCs/encounters). Once I started porting the story over, i only ever worked in book mode. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on the story records directly.

Note, I have not gotten the FG Campaign Printer to export Advanced Stories. Didn't work much on it as what I needed only uses the old Basic Stories. If you do get the xml for exporting advanced stories, I hope you share in that thread :)
