Frequency: Bi-weekly (every two weeks) Starting on 2/17/2025
Voice/Text: Discord
Permitted Source Books: D&D 5e WotC Source books permitted (starting at 3rd level)
Setting/Adventure Info: Forgotten Realms
Duration of sessions: 3 hours – 3.5 hours
FantasyGrounds Ultimate License: player just need to Free Demo to join
Number of players: I am looking to form a party of 5 players for a long term game
The Setup:
A wax-sealed letter arrives from your old friend Lenny, who is now the newly minted Lord of Whitehollow. In the letter, Lenny explains that he has recently acquired a fief in Damara, presenting a golden opportunity for riches that he wants to share with his most trusted friends. Included with the letter are passage to the nation of Damara and transportation to Castle Whitehollow. Out of all your current prospects, this one is the most intriguing. With transportation already paid for, you wrap up your affairs and embark on a journey to the frigid north, anticipating that your fortunes are about to soar.
The DM:
I am an experienced Dungeon Master (50+) with years of running D&D games using Fantasy Grounds, though this will be my first time using the 2024 rules. My game style is casual, adhering to the rules without spending excessive time debating them during gameplay. While no DM is perfect and I might occasionally make mistakes, we'll make group decisions afterward to ensure everything is sorted for the next session. Expect a balanced mix of 60% combat along with exploration and story.
Players:
Players are expected to develop a character background and motivation for accepting Lenny’s offer. This doesn't need to be an epic tale, but at least a paragraph. A short bio of Lenny will be provided to help describe your character's personal relationship with him. The goal is for players to dictate the direction of the story, which requires fleshing out their characters. If you're only interested in combat encounters, this may not be the right game for you.
If this piques your interest, contact me via Discord (EvilDave#4492) or private message me, and we can discuss it further
