1.) Ambient lighting does not behave as expected, something might have broke. When you try to toggle the ambient lighting on or off or change time of day, it does not do anything or does not show or illuminate anything. Double checking with a fresh campaign and map.

2.) In the last six months or of this last year, the tile mode in the layer selection mode has changed to where a selection stays selected and it remains visible until you replace it with another tile asset or switch modes, like to edit mode. This might be by design but is very frustrating because this behavior is very different and was not expected or documented, so that a user might/can accidently and very easily reselect a placed tile asset and accidently replace with another unwanted tile. I believe this changed since the 2D/3D walls mode was introduced, this changed a lot of how things worked before for the traditional functions and even shortcuts.

3.) I would like to work formally with Carl or whomever to go over some of the different map tools anomalies that I have noticed and that have changed over the months, that which may or might not be intended.

4.) I am not having memory issues, but, do we still assume that the software and video memory minimums are still valid in regards to the system requirements? Have these system requirements crept up over the past couple years or so?

Thanks for the post. I'm looking at the ambient lighting issues in your video to ensure that ambient light is behaving as expected.

If you'd like to set up a time for a Google Meet session, send me an e-mail at [email protected] and we'll get something set up.

Perfect, thank you. You might be able to show me some things that I am misunderstanding or shed light on the map tools changes. I don't pretend to know everything.

1) The bug with ambient lighting not updating should be fixed. The fix is currently in the Test channel and should be pushed to Release next week.

2) The asset replacement feature is undoable with CTRL+Z. However, I understand the concern. I've added a confirmation dialog. This is not in the Test channel but should be in the Release update next week.

Thank you Carl, the tile asset placement behavior change was very frustrating and potentially destructive.
