Greetings.
Recently in my game I opened the combat tracker and all of the creatures that were in there, their portraits were gone, replaced by a question mark. This included both PC's and NPC's.
I went to my NPC list and the game had stripped the tokens out of every single NPC, like 60 of them. It did the same for the players. The tokens were still in the asset folder... but they were no longer linked to anything.
I had to go through and manually re-add each token and then I had to delete every monster and player off of the combat tracker and re-add them so that the token would show up.
Likewise, I had to re-add every monster on the map...
Can anyone tell me how to prevent this from happening again? It is very irritating.

It sounds like the lookup path for the token graphics changed, which caused the assignments to no longer be valid.
Did you change the location or folder names of your token graphics within the FG data folder?

i don't think so.. i didn't change anything. i opened the folder to add more tokens but i did that through the game... like always.
weird.
hopefully it takes because i have had to redo every map... every encounter..

All of the token references are relative file paths into the FG data folder or modules you own.
If you had the campaign from before you replaced the graphics, you could actually look at the campaign database XML to see exactly where it is pointing, and see why it didn’t match to the tokens you had picked previously by comparing to current data folder.
In the future, if this happens, you can zip up your campaign folder, share here, and we can tell you where it is trying to look.

I tried to zip the campaign folder but it was too large for your system (35 mb).

You'll have to post to an online file sharing site like DropBox, Google Drive or OneDrive to share larger files.
As mentioned in the original thread; it sounds like the graphics were moved or renamed from the original file path where they were set up in the campaign originally.

ok... let's hope this works. Here is the zip file of the campaign (I think).

You probably want to set the permission to view these files to anyone who has the link or whatever GoogleDrive allows you to do rather than having people request permission to view the files. Also as Moon Wizard says above if these are the current files; that is after you relinked all of the tokens then viewing theses files isn't going to help since the links are now all correct. What Moon Wizard meant was if this happens again submit your campaign files before you make any corrections so we can see where FG is trying to access the tokens.

We can look at how they're linked now from the files; but as Zacchaeus mentioned, you'll need to set the Sharing Permissions on Google Drive to "Share with Anyone with the Link".

ok.. fixed the link so everyone should have access.
I have not fixed the token issue yet. after i found it i zipped the file so the links between the NPC sheets and their tokens are still not working.
hopefully someone can figure out where i have gone wrong.
i have very limited XML skills so hopefully we aren't going to get into programming weirdness.

Looking at the Shredskin and Bloody Skeleton examples from the screenshot in post #5 - these tokens were added from the campaign tokens directory, for example campaign/tokens/Shredskin.png
At some point the campaign tokens directory has been modified and these tokens are now in subfolder - e.g. campaign/tokens/Trail of the Hunted/Shredskin.png
So, this was caused by changing the tokens folder after adding the tokens - as alluded to by Moon Wizard.

Also wanted you to know you have 2 themes loaded, you should load one or the other.
