We have been running a Shadow of the Demon Lord campaign using the FGU ruleset. The last couple sessions, though, I have been noticing that created assets are disappearing. I'll make an image record for a battle map and it's gone when I reload the campaign. Same for items, monsters, parcels, etc. This, as you can imagine, is SUPER frustrating and making me want to quit Fantasy Grounds after using it for the past several years. If anyone has any ideas on how to fix this, I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Usually, situations like this boil down to two scenarios:
* File synching software (such as OneDrive, Google Drive, etc.) that is not recognizing updates, and rewriting old files over the new files. Make sure file synching software is not enabled on FG data folder.
* The FG application is being prevented from writing the database to disk at the end of the session. You can open your FG data folder, right click on the campaigns folder, and make sure that the read only flag is disabled for all files/folders underneath that folder. Sometimes, other applications that perform file actions can modify permissions on files.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll see if I can figure it out from this. I have a feeling it may end up being about drive mapping. I changed computers a couple months ago and FGU is installed on the new laptop C: drive, but I still find settings where the path still goes to a D: drive from the previous PC. Going to walk through all my assets and the directory to make it just isn't saving in an old directory and then get rid of those old ones altogether.

When moving to a new computer; it's always best to install FG from scratch on the new computer; then copy over the data to the new FG data folder location from the old FG data folder location.

Also, the folders/files could potentially have gotten marked read only in the move somehow; so definitely check that as well.

That's what I did (full new install), so I am not sure what happened. I exported the campaign, uninstalled, and then reinstalled again just to be sure. Have confirmed all the settings are pointing to the right paths now and have double-checked my assets are in the right folder. Hasn't happened since the full reinstall, so it's probably gone. You can close this thread. Thanks for the help.
