Create text above a table

I started a Story entry with a 6x6 table. I now realize I wanted to add some text prior to the table, but I can't seem to figure out what buttons to push to allow me to enter text above the table. I can create a new cell row above the first row of the table, but I cannot create a regular text area instead. Any knowledge to be shared would be appreciated!

EDIT: NM, figured it out.

Go to the first space, hit enter. A new row of the table will be created above. Use right mouse paragraph types to change it, or CTRL-1 for paragraph/plain text and that part will no longer be a table.
